Kyara Taikan Japanese incense sticks are made from high-grade aloeswood. This resinous dark wood has a distinctively rich, complex scent that made it the incense of choice for ceremonies in the ancient Japanese Imperial Court. Nippon Kodo was the original incense supplier to the Japanese Emperor over 400 years ago and the premium incense brand is still going strong. The fabric-covered Paulownia wood box contains 45 incense sticks with an approximate 13-minute burn time, and a beautifully crafted ceramic incense stick holder.
We love the Kyara Taikan’s box packaging – its small side clasp gives it the appearance of a fabric-bound book. Not only does it make a great gift, but the fabric adds extra moisture protection, helping to keep the incense sticks in prime condition.
